Dieting For 5 months, need advices

posted Jun 04, 2014 01:46:22 by GetBig
Hi Everyone,

I am 6 foot,19 years old, 180 pounds now. I have been lifting for just over 2 years. I started cutting in December weighing 220 pounds. I am currently eating 250 protein 50 fats 200 carbs. I am training 4 days on 1 day off. I am doing 5 500 calorie sessions of cardio a week. I feel that I have lost muscle especially in my legs. My goal was to just get lean for the summer and before I started a bulk. Having always been a chubby kid I want to stay relatively lean all year <15%. Would just like to hear some suggestions and opinions from people. Even if you were to give advise involving "supplements". Thanks guys

So what do you suggest then? If I add more fat that'll hinder my fat loss since I'm eating more.

I'm currently using some of those but I'm curious what Bostin has to say, idk how I would eat almost an extra 2000 calories a day and lose weight... I'd have to do cardio for days..

its all bat creating a furnace as a metabolism man......cardio and meal timing

To elaborate on what bostin said in regard to the furnace. when you eat frequently throughout the day (every 2 to 3 hours) your metabolism gets used to that and starts going CRAZY and burning all of those foods. You need to fuel your body for the workouts and all the cardio you are doing. As your metabolism speeds up and you keep your macros constant, you will see a loss in weight and fat. Put your carbs to breakfast, preworkouts, post workouts.

6 foot, 180 pounds? That sounds pretty lean to me for an average Joe Schmo.

First of all thanks for the input

How would I go from eating around 2200 calories up to that amount he recommended though. I just don't see how its possible to eat nearly twice as much and still lose fat. I currently am splitting my food up into 5 meals. Yes, I have been dieting for a while I am decently lean, I also only just turned 19 years old... Plus my body is so depleted from lack of food that once I get some carbs in me ill put on a decent amount of weight. when I have a high carb day I wake up like 4 pounds heavier and thats just from one day of a decent amount of carbs..

Why are you on here if you are natural? Enhanced guys can get away with way more stuff than naturals. Carbs are much more imporyant for naturals. The reason you are gaining four pounds after a high carb day is the watter retention in your muscles. You should really hit up 3dmj's youtube. They are probably the best at prepping naturals... or you could just start using gear.
