can you put on muscle on keto diet? if on gear can you put on tissue while stripping bf

The big problem here is energy. If you aren't taking in carbs, you won't have as much energy in the gym. Also, your glycogen stores will become depleted.

But there's not reason why you couldn't put on muscle though so long as you keep your workouts up and get SOME pre/postworkout carbs.

The question was if you can put on muscle with keto, not if you loose muscle. I agree that you should be able to retain, but it's quite difficult to add mass when carb depleted. Great for show prep and fat asses, otherwise avoid more often than not.

Is for those who want to become shredded... Then you can introduce carbs slowly at 50g per week.. Do some reading on it
